Cheney is trying to change narrative to make herself a martyr, a hero, a reincarnation of Lincoln. My friends in Wyoming tell me she became obsessed with former President Donald Trump and chose to ignore inflation, border security, crime, COVID response, International Relations, illegal immigration, drugs, human trafficking, the transportation bottle neck or the escalating problem with the baby formula shortage. Her whole focus has been President Trump and carrying forth the toxic messaging of Pelosi and Adam Schift. The fall from grace is all on Cheney and the temper she ostensibly inherited from her father.

In election years like this year, I like to go to some substantial local news outlet to get the latest election returns rather than listen to some national news organization report them. I think that one gets the election returns faster and ‘straighter’ from such sources than from anywhere else when one does this. Tonight (8-16-22) I was watching the Wyoming election returns ‘come in’ on Wyoming News Now, Cheyenne, Wyoming. At 11:30 p.m. Central Time, with 89% of the vote having been reported, Hageman had 66% of the vote to Cheney’s 30% of the vote. Cheney was not just being defeated, she was being ‘crushed’ by the voters of Wyoming (99,654 to 44, 757). Even President Trump’s endorsed candidate for Wyoming Secretary of State (the state officer in most states who is responsible for conducting the state and national elections in that State) was winning over the previously favored candidate for that office. I’d say that it was a BIG mistake for Biden and Garland to order that raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Florida home.
